i searched for the corrupted antivirus 2008 download and i see no traces of it in my pc! i have avast for -?

Your PC is not suffering any ill effects? Any pop ups? Why don’t you run Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware just to make sure. Better safe than sorry. Scroll down to “Automated Removal Instructions for Antivirus 2008 using Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware:” I’m not saying that you got it, it’s just a precaution to know that you’re in the clear.

yes do a scan with MalwareBytes AntiMalware it will tell you if any infections are on the computer

avast is no good in fighting malwares. it might be (doubtfully) good for fighting viruses but not for the other types of computer parasites.
here’s manual antivirus 2008 removal tutorial:
it contains a list of all the files names of files that belong to antivirus2008, so you can search for the files and see if the malware is aboard on your computer.
