are there any p2p download sites like imesh that allow you download full albums and are free forever?

Legally NO
Unless you pay a fee to “licence” the music via a 3rd party like iTunes, NO it is NOT possible.
Downloading music for free is ILLEGAL and robs the musicians and the music houses of their “hard earned”??? cash.
Go to a shop and buy an overpriced CD instead, but make sure it IS a “CD” and not a “Protected audio storage device with protection” that does NOT conform to the Phillips Audio CD standard.
Only way to get music for free would be to steal it via the likes of BitTorrents which yo have said you do not wish to do (Goot honest bloke you are)

imesh also gives you mostly protected wma files which you can not burn unless you get software (illeagal) to change them to unprotected mp3 files
the answer to your question is “shareaza”
after you install
set it to audio search and try this
type in the word “complete”
you are gonna be amazed at what this thing can do!!!!!!!!!!
oh and do not install version 4 shareaza
it is a copy of imesh and does not work well !!!! go to filehippo site and search for shareaza and download version 2.3.1.0
this is also excellent for movies too !!!!!!
