on the first ’settings’ type screen that pops up when you plug your ipod into the computer and it shows up in itunes should have a box you can check and uncheck for “manually manage my playlist” or something of that nature. check that. and then go into your library and there will be a little box in front of each song all the way down the list. if you want to keep the song on your ipod then keep it checked. if you don’t. then uncheck it. once all your selections are made then you can sync your ipod and then only the checked ones should show up on your ipod!! :) one thing to note though. when you have that “manually manage…” box checked its kind of important to make sure you push the “eject ipod” button in itunes everytime before you unplug the ipod. so that you don’t mess up the hardware or anything!! not too big of a deal.

Create a playlist and then set up itunes to only synch that specific playlist instead of the entire library. For example… Create playlist call it …. Gym Music then drag the songs from the library to this playlist (folder) then plug in your ipod and click on the ipod tabs … Photos | Songs | Ringtones | Playlist and tell itunes to only sync that gym music folder.
